All the bikes here are the ones that stood out over all the others, we've sweated it out over many test miles, pooled opinions and come up with the best gravel and adventure bike you can buy.

The 2021 Nukeproof Mega 290 Alloy is a hard hitting all-mountain 29er ready to tame your local tech. It's not light but pedals supremely well, while the progressive geometry makes it a great all-rounder as well as an enduro shredder. 

New on test this week is a budget friendly trail bike from Decathlon, the new Rockrider AM 100S, plus brand new winter trail kit from a brand at the other end of the pricing spectrum, ASSOS. Alongside road.cc has a Van Nicolas Ti gravel bike, plus we have gravel tyre inserts from Vittoria and a gravel tyre from Pirelli. 

Marin launch the new Alpine Trail E, giving a motor and new geometry to their popular trail bike. The new e-MTB gets either a Shimano STEPS EP8 or a STEPS E7000 motor, some budget-friendly spec choices and a coil rear shock on both bikes for some hard riding. 

Like the sound of a tan wall tyre that is white too? Onza have you covered with a remake of the Porcupine trail tyre. Then we dive straight into night riding with a range of three lights one of which puts out a massive 8000 lumens! Dig in.....

New Intend Bandit looks like a forward thinking fork from young German company. The designer aims to make bike parts that are better than the usual and they say this is 'more' and 'better' in terms of the bushing overlap and larger negative air chamber.

Crankbrothers launch new shoe range with an approach to the design which aims to perfectly integrate with the brand's flat and clipless pedal lineup. They say it's one system, optimized for the perfect interface. We have shoes in ahead of test for an up-close look.
