Ari updates its Signal Peak 3.0 cross-country bike

Ari's brand new Signal Peak 3.0 cross-country mountain bike is designed to push the boundaries of lightweight capability. Ushering in a new suspension platform and a 'Zero-Energy Flex State', Ari also claims that the bike's frame is the lightest full-suspension frame it has created to date. Ari states that the new Signal Peak 3.0 is built for those with an eye for detail who want a bike capable of full-gas ascents or hell-for-leather descents. At the heart of the new bike is a new frame, which Ari claims saves 305 grams against the outgoing model on a large frame.
That's a 14.3.% weight saving, according to Ari, achieved through new tube shaping, which improves resin exclusion. Not only does this shave grams, but it also boosts strength, we're told. The brand says that, in its lightest configuration, a large Signal Peak 3.0 frame weighs 1,732g. That's a frame that comes with tube-in-tube cable routing and a threaded bottom bracket. There's space for two water bottles in the front triangle, an accessory mount under the downtube, and UDH compatibility.
Employed to remove the need for a pivot in the rear triangle, the Signal Peak 3.0 moves to Ari's Tetra-Link Race Lite suspension platform. Now, using a monocoque construction, the bike promises more lateral stiffness, lighter weight and better power transfer. However, the seat stays benefit from tuned flex, so essentially, it's a flex stay design.
The result is a system that helps the bike stay at the sag point under pedalling loads, in turn reducing pedal bob with a tuned ramp-up at the end stroke. Ari then says that the flex-stay design helps achieve a supple start of the stroke through to a supportive mid-stroke. As for suspension travel, there's 110mm at the rear, and the bike's designed to run a 120mm fork.
Moving on to the geometry, it's all fairly modern. There's a 66.5-degree head angle and a 76-degree effective seat tube angle. The chainstay measures 430mm on all sizes, and a large frame dons a 470mm reach.
There are four builds of the Signal Peak 3.0 available with prices starting at $3,500, going up to $9,400. All bikes feature RockShox suspension, with the lower two getting Shimano mechanical drivetrains and the higher two benefitting from SRAM Transmission options.
