New kit from Specialized, RaceFace and Shand Cycles

We've got some exciting new kit in this week with gear from Race Face, Specialized and Shand Cycles dropping through the door.

The weekend is near and it looks to be a wet one, we'll be taking some of this kit out into the elements to see how it fares, grips or performs!

Shand Bahookie

The whole office stopped to drool as we unboxed the Shand Bahookie with its Rohloff Speed hub and Geblar Rohbox system which allows the 14 speed Rohloff hub to be compatible with this drop-bar machine. This is another incarnation of Shands versatile flat bar mountain bike, also called the Bahookie. It's a bike build for long days and weeks of self-supported travel over any terrain you can throw at it. You can check out a First Look of the Bahookie here.

Specialized Butcher

Big rubber is big news these days so when a Specialized Butcher in 2.6" form arrived we were eager to get it straight on a bike. Our tyre is 650b and in the Grid casing (the tougher one from Spesh) and the Gripton compound, will this all add up to the most grip and the most fun we've ever had?

Camelbak Mule LR 15L

The Mule is Camelbak's iconic pack - we've probably all had one in our cycling lives! This version is equipped with Camelbak's low rider system to keep the weight of the water nice and low, we'll be taking it out on some long days in the saddle and seeing how it fares.

Women's Specialized 2FO Cliplite Lace Shoes

In a fashionable turquoise colour, these Specialized 2FO Cliplite Lace shoes are £40 cheaper than the model of the same shoe with the Boa dial fastening. We like the look of the handy elastic strap to hold the laces in place, they feel pretty light and stiff too.

RaceFace Indy Knee Pads

Enduro to the very core, these Indy knee pads from RaceFace have been designed with all day pedalling and superb protection in mind. They sport D3O material in the front section, situated on to what seems to be a lycra sleeve. It looks like a good package, slim and protective. We've ripped the rear of pull on knee pads like this on previous occasions so it will be interesting to see if these stand the test of time.
