Fizik adds a gravel and MTB helmet to its new lineup

Best known for its range of touch-point products and shoes, Fizik has expanded its range to include four new helmets. For us off-roaders, Kudo and Kassis are of interest. Designed for road, gravel, and mountain bike, both helmets get a host of interesting features.

- Can you use a road bike helmet for mountain bike and gravel riding?
Starting with the Kudo, it's a highly ventilated lid aimed to please road, gravel, and cross-country mountain bikers, while the Kassis builds on the Kudo's foundation to boost protection around the occipital and lateral areas. Aerodynamics have been a key consideration, but rather than total aero gains, we're also talking about airflow into the helmets.
Fizik has gone all-in on its fit system, addressing vertical and circumference fit. The brand's Custom Crown Adjustment tailors the helmet's cradle to fit a broader range of head shapes. This is found on both the Kudo and Kassis, each of which also gets an integrated reflector located at the rear, which can be swapped out for a light included in the box.
Boosting protection further is the inclusion of Mips Air Node to dissipate rotational forces under impact.
As for prices, the Kudo is £270 and Kassis is £190.
