Lee Cougan's Comptrol is engineered for off-road performance

The engineers over at Lee Cougan have been super busy working behind the scenes to achieve a better riding experience through sophisticated mtb solutions. Those efforts have culminated in the Comptrol handlebar, a one-piece bar, and stem that promises high performance for the highest levels of competition that offers no compromises.
- The best mountain bike handlebars you can buy - tried and tested trail bars
- 7 of the widest gravel bike handlebars you can buy: broad bars for bikepackers and gravel grinders
- 11 things to put in the ends of your handlebar
Built from a blend of 3K and UD carbon, the new Lee Cougan Comptrol handlebar is designed to make the front end of your bike more precise. It's claimed to be pretty light too, weighing in at 275g.
The new integrated bar and stem is internally routed for up to four cables, offering opportunities for a proper tidy cockpit. This is done by creating a depression on the underside of the bar that allows the cables to be hidden, while unimpeded when steering. Then thanks to the Shadow Cable Routing system, cables are easily removed for maintenance or storage.
Lee Cougan's team says that achieving the perfect geometry for the Comptrol bar was one of the biggest challenges. The brand made use of 3D prototyping and actual bike fitting to make up more than 10 different solutions to help find the perfect shape. As such, the Comptrol bar is available in three different virtual stem lengths (85, 95, and 105mm), a -15° stem angle, and a 760mm width. There's then a 3.5° upsweep and an 8° backsweep.
As for its price, the Lee Cougan Comptrol bar will set you back 319 Euro (or around £266 for us Brits).
