RockShox updates its inline shock - the Deluxe

RockShox has been busy. With the unveiling of the Charger 3.1 damper and updated shock last year, and the new Reverb AXS just last week, the brand has announced updates to its inline shock, the Deluxe. But that's not all, as RockShox has reintroduced its Electric Red colourway to the whole of its fork range.

With the updates of the Super Deluxe shock, RockShox brought a whole bunch of new technology and now, some of it has been moved to its lighter weight, inline shock the Deluxe. Now, those looking to shave grams off their bike can take advantage of RockShox's bottom-out control. The new shock also benefits from independent low-speed compression and rebound adjustments, even though there are no high-speed adjustments on the shock.
The Deluxe comes sorted with a lighter compression tune to open up a larger range of adjustment. RockShox's DebonAir+ Linear XL air can is present too, further boosting adjustment potential. Leading me well onto the next bit is its Electric Red colourway.
Red is the new black
Red is synonymous with RockShox, much like it is with Ferrari. Since 1989, it's been coating RockShox forks amongst the race circuit for decades now, and mostly, on the BoXXer downhill fork.
Now, the brand has brought its heritage Electric Red colourway back to the market on its Signature Series forks and shocks. Each of RockShox's suspension components, from the SID SL through to the ZEB, comes with an option of that red colour. That includes all Ultimate-level suspension and Flight Attendant products.
Flight Attendant hasn't been left untouched
RockShox's Flight Attendant technology is always undergoing scrutiny from the brand as its designers find ways to improve upon the product proven on race circuits throughout mountain biking. Bringing new features to the tech, Flight Attendant comes with two new features, the first of which is Launch Control, which allows riders to configure Flight Attendant to remain locked out for race starts.
There's also a customisable Auto Mode that enables riders to disable the Pedal position for which is said to bring more control over climbing and descending.
Flight Attendant is also now available as a fork only – opening up the technology to hardtail purists.
